Abstract
This piece is a rallying call for professionals working in ecopsychology and allied fields to engage in sustained activism in 2025, as the world faces the devastating impacts of climate breakdown. With accelerating climate change, biodiversity collapse, climate injustice, food insecurity, air pollution, and soil degradation, the planet is in crisis. The rise of climate refugees, losing their homes, cultures, and futures, underscores the urgency of the situation. Professionals in developed nations, who have historically contributed the most to these crises, must lead the charge in advocating for systemic change. Despite increasing government repression, the moral imperative to act remains clear. Health and well-being professionals are uniquely positioned to influence society, educate the public, and
support those most affected by climate breakdown. This piece argues that activism is not just a professional duty but a moral obligation, essential for healing both individuals and our collective relationship with the Earth.
